Disclaimer & Bar Council of India Notice

Please read this before you use any part of this website. It explains what this website is, what it is not, and the basis on which the information here is made available to you.

Effective from2 September 2026
Last updated2 September 2026
Applies toLegal Space Services website and services
Please read first. As per the rules of the Bar Council of India, an advocate is not permitted to solicit work or advertise. By continuing to use this website you confirm that you are seeking information about Legal Space Services and its associated advocates of your own accord, and that no part of this website has been shown to you as an advertisement, personal communication, solicitation, invitation or inducement of any sort.

1. Bar Council of India notice

Advocates in India are governed by the Advocates Act, 1961 and by the Bar Council of India Rules. Rule 36 in Section IV, Chapter II of Part VI of those Rules provides that an advocate shall not solicit work or advertise, whether directly or indirectly, whether by circulars, advertisements, touts, personal communications, interviews not warranted by personal relations, furnishing or inspiring newspaper comments, or producing photographs to be published in connection with cases in which the advocate has been engaged or concerned.

A proviso added to Rule 36 permits an advocate to furnish, on a website, only the limited factual particulars approved by the Bar Council of India — broadly the advocate's name, address, telephone number and email address, enrolment number and the State Bar Council of enrolment, professional and academic qualifications, and areas of practice. Publishing anything beyond those approved particulars can amount to professional misconduct under Section 35 of the Advocates Act, 1961.

This website has been built to stay within that boundary. The advocate pages on this website carry factual particulars only, supplied by the advocate concerned, published at that advocate's own request, and verified by us against the enrolment details given to us. They contain no claim of superiority, no promise of a result, no ranking, no rating, no testimonial and no comparison with any other advocate.

2. What you acknowledge by using this website

By accessing, browsing or otherwise using this website, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • there has been no advertisement, personal communication, solicitation, invitation or inducement of any sort whatsoever, from Legal Space Services, from any of its personnel, or from any advocate associated with it, to solicit any work through this website;
  • you wish to gain more information about Legal Space Services and the advocates associated with it for your own information and use;
  • all information about Legal Space Services and about any advocate on this website is being provided to you only at your own specific request, and any information obtained or material downloaded from this website is entirely at your own volition;
  • any transmission, receipt or use of this website, or of anything on it, does not create a lawyer-client relationship;
  • this website is a resource for informational purposes only, and though intended to be accurate, is not promised or guaranteed to be complete, correct or up to date;
  • the contents of this website do not constitute, and must not be construed as, legal advice, nor a substitute for legal advice from an advocate who has examined the facts of your matter; and
  • if you have a legal issue, you must in all cases seek independent legal advice.

3. We are not a law firm and we do not practise law

Legal Space Services, established on 6 June 2021 at New Delhi, India, is a documentation, filing and coordination company. It is not a law firm, it is not an association of advocates, and it does not practise law. Neither the company nor its employees hold themselves out as advocates, and none of them render legal advice.

The work we do ourselves is administrative and clerical in nature — explaining what a process requires, preparing and typing forms, collecting and checking documents against a checklist, arranging appointments, paying prescribed government fees on your instructions, following up on an application, and keeping you informed of its progress.

Where a matter requires legal advice, legal drafting that calls for an advocate's professional judgement, an opinion on your rights, or appearance before a court, tribunal or authority, that work is done by an independent advocate enrolled with a State Bar Council, in that advocate's own name and on that advocate's own responsibility. We tell you clearly which part of your matter is being handled by whom.

4. No lawyer-client relationship

No lawyer-client relationship, and no relationship of any professional or fiduciary nature, arises between you and Legal Space Services by reason of:

  • visiting, reading or downloading from this website;
  • sending us an enquiry, a consultation request, a message, an email or a WhatsApp message;
  • receiving an email, a call or a message from us; or
  • placing an order for a documentation or filing service.

A lawyer-client relationship arises only when an advocate, in their own name, expressly accepts your matter after considering it and after satisfying themselves that there is no conflict of interest. Until that happens, please do not send us or any advocate anything you regard as confidential or privileged.

5. About the advocate listings on this website

The advocates whose particulars appear on this website are independent professionals. They are not our employees, partners, agents or representatives, and we are not theirs. We do not control, direct or supervise the professional work they do. Each advocate is solely responsible for the advice they give, the manner in which they conduct a matter, the fee they charge and their compliance with the Advocates Act, 1961 and the Bar Council of India Rules.

A profile appears on this website only after the advocate has applied to be listed, has supplied their own particulars, and has confirmed in writing that the listing is made at their own request and is not intended as an advertisement or solicitation. We check the enrolment details supplied to us before a profile is published. We do not, and cannot, certify the quality of any advocate's professional work.

We do not share, and will not share, any part of an advocate's professional fee. Any amount you pay an advocate for legal advice or representation is payable to that advocate directly, in that advocate's own name.

6. No ranking, rating, recommendation or endorsement

We do not rate advocates. This website carries no star ratings, no scores, no leaderboards, no "top lawyer" lists, no client reviews of any advocate and no comparison between advocates. Nothing here is a recommendation to engage or consult any particular advocate.

The order in which profiles appear is neutral and does not indicate merit, seniority or any preference. Where you send a consultation request, we pass it to the advocate whose stated area of practice matches the subject of your matter; that is an administrative routing step, not a recommendation, and the choice of advocate always remains yours.

7. The information here is general, not legal advice

The guides, service descriptions, checklists, timelines, frequently asked questions and other material on this website are written in general terms for a general reader. Law, procedure, prescribed fees and the requirements of a particular court or office change from time to time and differ from place to place, and the outcome of any matter depends entirely on its own facts.

Nothing on this website is an opinion on your matter and nothing here should be acted upon without professional advice on your own facts. We disclaim any and all liability to any person for any loss or damage caused by an error or omission in this material, whether such error or omission results from negligence, accident or any other cause.

8. No guarantee of outcome or timeline

We do not guarantee, and no advocate associated with us guarantees, the outcome of any matter, the grant of any registration, licence or certificate, or the acceptance of any application by any court, authority or office. Any timeline we give is a good-faith estimate based on how a particular office has been working, and it can change because of a court date, a public holiday, a strike, a server outage, a change in procedure, an objection raised by the office, or a document that turns out to be missing or defective.

9. Fees, government charges and estimates

Prices shown on this website are indicative starting prices for our own documentation and coordination work. They are exclusive of government fees, court fees, stamp duty, registration charges, notary charges, photographs, courier, travel and any statutory tax, unless a page says otherwise in terms. The final amount depends on what your matter actually requires, and we confirm it to you in writing before work begins.

Where an advocate's consultation fee is shown, that figure is the fee stated to us by that advocate for their own information. It is not an offer made by us, we do not collect it, and we take no share in it.

10. Third-party links and content

This website may contain links to websites operated by other people, including government portals and payment providers. Those links are given for convenience only. We do not control those websites, we do not endorse them, and we are not responsible for their content, their availability, their accuracy or their privacy practices. No part of it may be reproduced, republished, adapted or used, with or without adaptation, without our express prior written consent.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Legal Space Services, its proprietor, directors, employees and associates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of this website or your reliance on anything published on it.

Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 for a deficiency in a service we have actually agreed to provide to you. Our liability in respect of a service you have ordered from us is dealt with in our Terms of Use and our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

This Disclaimer is governed by the laws of India. The courts at New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Disclaimer or your use of this website, subject to any right you may have as a consumer to approach a consumer forum where you reside.

14. Contact

Questions

Common questions about this notice

Is this website an advertisement for advocates?
No. Nothing on this website is an advertisement, solicitation or inducement of any kind, by us or by any advocate associated with us. The information is made available only to a visitor who has come here of their own free will and asked for it. Bar Council of India Rules prohibit advocates from advertising or soliciting work, and this website is built to respect that prohibition.
Is Legal Space Services a law firm?
Legal Space Services is not a law firm and does not practise law. We are a documentation, filing and coordination company. Legal advice, drafting that requires an advocate's judgement, and appearance before any court or authority are provided by independent advocates enrolled with a State Bar Council, in their own name and on their own responsibility.
Does using this website create a lawyer-client relationship?
No. Browsing this website, sending an enquiry, placing an order or receiving an email from us does not create a lawyer-client relationship with us or with any advocate. A lawyer-client relationship comes into existence only when an advocate expressly accepts your matter, in their own name.
Do you rank, rate or recommend advocates?
No. We do not rank, rate, score, review or recommend any advocate. Profiles are shown in a neutral order and contain only factual particulars supplied by the advocate. Nothing on this website should be read as an endorsement of, or a comparison between, advocates.
